Disneyland again

I finally found the disk with the rest of our Disneyland pictures. We had so much fun we are still talking about it. I took a couple of these pictures just for you Bentley. Enjoy Buzz and Woody. Can hardly wait to take you there and get pictures of you with them.

Trip to Texas

It was a fast but fun trip to Texas. Early Friday morning we got up and left for the long 12 hours of driving. We had everything all packed in the truck the night before so we could just get up and go. Caleb and Shandraya and I were on the rode by 3:30 and we arrived at our destination at 4:30ish Texas time. It was so much fun seeing and spoiling the grand kids and visiting with Trevor, Brandi, Tiffany and Drew. The girls went shopping for baby girl hair bow stuff and fabric for baby blankets while the guys stayed home at Trevor's and played video games. That little Bentley is sure getting good at the games. He is so intent when he plays.It's fun to watch him dance all over the room with the controller and Nixon can't stand not to have a controller also. Nixon loves doing somersaults and is getting so good at trying to repeat almost everything you say. Cannon just kinda hung out and played in his jumper and has the cutest little laugh when Brandi got him going. Saturday was Tiffany's birthday and she was not happy that the restaurant found out it was her birthday and had her sit on the saddle.But the food was good and the company was great. Monday morning came early and Bentley didn't want to wake up to tell us good bye and Nixon had a hard time also. We had a good trip home and saw some new country because I missed one of the turns and we went down through El Paso. Not any longer of a drive just different. By the time  you make a few gas and food stops and slowing down at all the little towns and road construction  it is about 12 1/2 hours no matter what way you go. Glad to be back home but it was a very enjoyable long weekend. I think next time I will fly.

Disneyland

The dance company that Shandraya dances with preformed at Disneyland on Thursday 2-10-11 and then some different dances on Friday 2-11-11 in Disney California. So on Wednesday we (Shandraya, Stephanie, Shandraya's best friend, Claudia, Stephanie's mom and a good friend and I) loaded up and headed to Anaheim, CA "Happiest place on earth". It was sooo much fun. The weather was great and the wait for rides was only about 5 minutes on Thursday. Friday got a little hotter and more people, wait time about 15 minutes, and then Saturday was kinda warm and a lot of people. The dancers all did great and it was fun watching them preform. A lot of work and practice goes into the many different dances. It was a very relaxing 3 days, no pressure to hurry and catch rides, meet up with others, we went on the rides we wanted to, ate when we wanted to, shopped when we wanted to. It was great!

Disney on Ice, Saturday Jan. 22nd

Well yesterday was another fun filled day. We splurged and bought tickets to Disney on Ice. So at 10:30 we were off to the U.S. Airways arena to watch all of the fun. We were kinda up high so some of the pictures didn’t turn out but the most fun was watching Bentley’s expressions. He is so animated and so much fun to be with. After we got home we fixed the bikes to take a bike ride but that didn’t go so well. Bentley’s legs weren’t quite long enough for the little bike that we have. So we just went on a scooter ride instead. He helped Grandpa feed the chickens, and gather the eggs. We played four or five Wii games. He also helped Colten and Caleb feed rats to the snakes. He just loves those rats and it’s real  fun to watch him. I guess our fun filled Saturday’s will be coming to an end because Bentley will be going home in a few days. I know that he misses his Daddy and wants to go home but I sure will miss him here visiting and playing with us. We are so thankful for the time we get to spend with each of our sweet grandchildren. We love each one of them so much.

A day in the snow

Today was a blast! We got up and drove up past Strawberry and played in the snow. First we found a good spot to build a trail then we started packing it down with boots and then the red toboggan. Colten and Caleb built a small hill to get a good start on. Bentley loved going down with the boys because they could go faster than when he went by himself. We built a snowman and at the end had a snowball war. It was just the perfect amount of snow to play in and not freezing cold. This old Grandma even tried to go down on the three ski sitter that was being enjoyed by all. I did pretty good until near the end when I turned it too sharp and biffed. It was fun while it lasted though. Bentley wanted to go down with me but I was afraid that I would biff with him and hurt him so I left that to the boys. The toboggan broke into three pieces after a few times down. I think it was meant for smaller kids than Caleb who was using it the most. The blue saucer that we took didn’t ever get going very fast. Shandraya went down with Bentley a few times also but almost every time she tried to go by herself she tipped it.

Merry Christmas 2010 and Happy New Year 2011

Done with 2010 and excited about 2011. Many fun and exciting things happened in 2010.

Our children continue to bless our lives. We had a wonderful family vacation this past summer with all of the children and grandchildren except Danielle (traveling is much too difficult for her). We had two new grandchildren bless our lives and we will get one more this next year. We hope that we can all stay well and enjoy the many blessings that we have in our lives and have a wonderful coming year. We hope that all of our many friends, neighbors, and family have a blessed year also.
