I just bought this horse today and Bentley is loving it.
All three grandkids together. What a blessing they are in my life.
playing with Kierra in the irrigation
Playing in the sprinklers with Bentley. Chasing Shandraya around saying "get you, get you" and "peek a boo" with the sprinkler head.
I went to Texas this past weekend to visit Trevor, Brandi and Bentley. Drew and Tiffany went flew out with me and we picked up Colten who has spent a month out there with them. It was so nice seeing them all. One of the best parts of going out there though is I got to bring Bentley back with us. He is such a great little kid. We have been having so much fun with him.

Below are a few of our pictures of the fun we had in Cabo. While we were their we visited two other resorts for fun, the boys all went deep sea fishing while Shandraya and I slept in, then walked to town and shopped, and just relaxed. We all took a glass bottom boat to see a lot of fish.We saw many beautiful sites. The ocean waves breaking on the beach were awesome. We were so close we could here the big ones crashing all during the night. Many new resorts are being built in Cabo, and San Lucus it is going to be a huge resort place in a few short years.
Doug took advantage of some sleepy time while we were waiting 3 hours in an airport. The kids listening to music on the flight home. Beautiful clouds out of the plane and last but not least home sweet home. We had a wonderful time but it is always so good to be back home.
Coming out of a different resort in Cabo this guy walks up to Colten and shoves this iguana at him and says to me "take a picture" so I do then he pushes Caleb and Shandraya next to him and says again "take a picture" so I do. I start walking away and he says " pay me" so I hand him $1.00 and he says two. They will do anything to make a buck down there.
Our adventure of going on a glass bottom boat so we could see lots of fish, and the famous natural rock arch in Cabo. We did see a lot of fish and sea lions, and the arch, but my picture of the arch didn't turn out. I don't know what I did wrong, I think I had my camera zoomed in too close and I didn't check it until too late. The boat was kind of rocky. I don't usually feel queezy but turning every which way to take a lot of pictures with the boat rocking and up and down I started to feel it.
looking out from the balcony.
This is our balcony
Taking strolls along the beach, playing in the water, burying Colten in the sand, finding sand crabs. etc. fun, fun, fun, no worries, no phones, no crying babies, no diapers, no whinning. I loved it!!!
The resort pools covered about 4 acres.
We are in front of the beautiful resort in Cabo, Mexico. We flew down there on Saturday the 21st of June and had a wonderful relaxing time. The resorts pools were spectacular. I really enjoyed myself doing almost nothing. Believe it or not Doug even did all of the dish washing while we were there. Let's see I didn't have to make a bed, meals were a group effort. I just sat back and read three books. What a life!

We got the sod all layed this morning. It looks so nice. We only have three more areas to finish. The pavers next to the patio and the platform area and the waterfall. Yee-pee we are almost done.
At the family reunion last weekend (6-6-08 to 6-8-08) in Virden, New Mexico. We enjoyed a hay ride around the town while Uncle LeRoss (grandpas older brother) told us about many old sites that Grandma and Grandpa Jones lived at and did various activities at. We saw their school, and different homes they lived in, and the farm. It was really hot, but informative. I think around 65 of us showed up for the weekend.
We got started with the plantings and the platform area. When we got irrigation the other day we reliazed that the platform isn't high enough to stop the water from coming down so we are going to have to redo it and make it higher. Back to the drawing board. We will be laying the sod next week. That should be a lot of fun. But all in all it seems to be coming along good.
Memorial day was a great day to get a lot accomplished on our backyard project. It's coming along very nice.

Tiffany came over the other day and gave Kierra her first hair cut. She didn't like it at all. The only way we kept her sitting still at all was for Shandraya to keep feeding her ice cream.
Colten just got done digging a huge hole to plant one of three trees that we are putting in the new area

Quotes I like
Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
The grandkids
All 9 of the grandchildren. Can't believe how fast they are all growing up and my grandchildren's group picture keeps getting outdated so fast. I love it!
